Design of Electric Hand Drill
Burjeta, Josef ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Zvonek, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design an electric hand drill, respecting the functional, structural, technological and ergonomics requirements with emphasis on the aesthetic value of the proposal. My goal is to improve ergonomics of the device and to facilitate its usage. I would also like to enhance its function using modern technologies and brighten up existing market.
Leisure Time Centre Brno
Hartl, Aleš ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is project of the Leisure centre in Brno, Kraví Hora. Complex of standardized buildings designed for active spending of leisure time in form of sports, cultural and educational activities. Design consists of single-purpose central building and two versions of standardized multi-purpose buildings. Each object is designed as wooden building with heavy wooden structure. All objects are concieved as buildings with low energy consumption.
School of Art Brno
Hlubinková, Monika ; Fišer, Jiří (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The theme of the project is concept of new building of Art School in locality Brno-Střed, Veveří. The land is located in silence area Kraví Hora close to Observatory and planetarium Brno. Concept consists in conserving silence area by creation a park, which includes designed Art School. Facade of school is made by perforated, chrome-plated, steel iron. This facade component was selected because of achieving a bonding and a coalescence between building and surrounding nature. The object contains two different substances reciprocally unificated by hanging facade. This integrity is disorganized by three entrance vestibules with class-covered facade. Building is functionally divided into three parts – school management, education (situation of particular branches), representative part (auditorium, café, exhibition space). These parts are interconnected. The entire complex of oborArt School is used to relax, education and developing artistic skills.
UAV design for civil and commercial purposes

The topic of this bachelor thesis is design of an UAV suited for commercial and civil use. The goal is to create a drone with compact looks and user–friendly composition that fulfils ergonomic and technical needs in compliance with professional use. The thesis includes the state of the art in the field, design and technical analysis that shall present the reader to contemporary issues in the field of UAV.
Centre of Culture Brno
Pieleszová, Katarzyna ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The goal of this project is to design a new cultural centre building in the locality Brno-Starý Lískovec, Mikulášovo square. The building site is situated between two separate blocks of flats. The principle of this draft lies in a simple combination of compositional axes. The first axis is the square’s axis of symmetry, the second one represents the distinctive shapes of the built up area from the 60’s and the third one expresses a certain metaphorical axis of the landscape panorama. This connection of lines created material which, after consideration of space requirements of all the workflows and traffic, provided the final shape. The whole object is functionally divided into two parts – the cultural centre itself as the core, and the attached sub-parts. Among the supplemental facilities there are areas dedicated for a cafeteria, a bookshop with artistic theme and an exhibition space. The objective was to create a compact structure which would allow an unlimited movement across those facilities. An important part of the exterior is the façade. The building changes “moods” during the day, the colours and shades change with the sun going down. This idea includes a plan of exterior passage which can guide visitors to the main entrances. The outside areas are designed for relaxation and art.
The GAP in Brno
Richnavská, Dominika ; Zlámal, Tomáš (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
In a selected location – gap site define the principles of its development and propose a new urban house. The aim of the thesis is to find an appropriate development strategy for each particular site. The bachelor thesis deals with the development proposal of a selected gap site in the vicinity of the centre of Brno. The main task is to make optimal use of a gap site area and to considerately complement the surrounding buildings so that the block is one step closer to a compact type of development. The gap site is surrounded by a four-floor object on one side and on the other side, there is a smaller two-floor building on the south and garages on the north. The design envisages the alteration/development of the mentioned buildings into a more compact form. The type of a gap site and the orientation to cardinal points shape objects that can be found here. The design deals with two polyfunctional houses with a green area in-between which is fairly lacked in a given area. The design also takes into consideration how busy the surrounded streets are. The objects serve as the apartment buildings with an office area on the second floor and a café with a summer terrace on the ground floor. The parking in confined spaces is solved by underground parking shafts. An additional extra feature are the views of Špilberk and Petrov, which can be fully enjoyed from the roof terraces.
Design of Drone
Lupták, Pavol ; Bukvald, Jiří (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the design of a drone, specifically a semiprofessional quadcopter, which is intended for capturing videos and taking photos. The work includes an analysis of the current market situation and deals with new technologies in the given issue. The goal of the design is to create a concept that respects the technical, ergonomic and aesthetic requirements.
Intensive City House
Murínová, Lenka ; Zadražilová, Miroslava (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor)
The topic of diploma thesis is to design a "city house", in a form of the intensive urban structure, using the area with the greatest efficiency in terms of housing, services and jobs on a relatively small area. The main function of the new complex is housing supplemented by services, as well as, leisure and education facilities. The art school, the gallery, the office space and other facilities serve not only the residents of the "intensive house", but also the rest of the public, with the possibility of getting new jobs at an accessible distance, which is the main task of an intensive structure. The aim is to create a multifunctional urban building that revitalizes the inefficiently used area and at the same time brings green spaces designed for relaxation that are missing in this area.
Analýza atraktorů zobecněných Newtonovských tekutin v 3d oblastech
Žabenský, Josef ; Pražák, Dalibor (advisor) ; Bulíček, Miroslav (referee)
We investigate a system of nonlinear partial differential equations, specifically the so-called Ladyzhenskaya model, in three spatial dimensions. It will be shown that after inclusion of a perturbation of a higher order, the model exhibits a considerably better behavior, in particular it will become quite straightforward to prove differentiability of solutions with respect to the initial condition. Due to this fact we may consequently employ the method of Lyapunov exponents to estimate the fractal dimension of the exponential attractor. First, however, it will be necessary to show existence and uniqueness of solutions, improved regularity and existence of a compact invariant set for the entire system.
Compactness of higher-order Sobolev embeddings
Slavíková, Lenka ; Pick, Luboš (advisor) ; Nekvinda, Aleš (referee)
The present work deals with m-th order compact Sobolev embeddings on a do- main Ω ⊆ Rn endowed with a probability measure ν and satisfying certain isoperi- metric inequality. We derive a condition on a pair of rearrangement-invariant spaces X(Ω, ν) and Y (Ω, ν) which suffices to guarantee a compact embedding of the Sobolev space V m X(Ω, ν) into Y (Ω, ν). The condition is given in terms of compactness of certain operator on representation spaces. This result is then applied to characterize higher-order compact Sobolev embeddings on concrete measure spaces, including John domains, Maz'ya classes of Euclidean domains and product probability spaces, among them the Gauss space is the most stan- dard example. 1
